So the billionaires think they can hack our attention with sophisticated algorithms - and they might be
winning! But we can reclaim our minds. This group is a real life, in the flesh opportunity to begin training
and taming our attention. We will use our new found stillness of mind to explore our inner experience and
recognise our habitual mental patterns. We will spend time cultivating new mental habits that support
resilience and emotional balance.
Come and join the movement to undistract outselves!
It takes a consistent, patient approach to begin to feel any progress. Consequently it is recommended that
you attend for at least 8 weeks. We will run an introductory session so you can see if it works for you.
Your host, Ceri, will be blending a number of secular meditation approaches and even some practical inner
explorations
from the Buddhist traditions - but without the metaphysical claims.
The approach will be a blend of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), Healthy Minds, some Rick Hanson
and others. There will be a progressive path: Awareness, Connection, Insight.
This is open to people new to meditation or for those seeking reinspiration and support from an in person
community.
Ceri has been studying and practising meditation for more than 30 years. He has received instruction from some renowned Buddhist teachers, both Eastern and Western, and has completed some significant practice retreats. In addition, 2014 he completed a PG Dip in Mindfulness based Approaches with Exeter University under the tutelage of Willem Kyuken (Ritblat Professor of Mindfulness and Psychological Science at Oxford University) and Christina Feldman (acclaimed Insight meditation teacher, author and founder of Gaia House and Bodhi College). Ceri specialises in mindfulness in schools and also runs daily morning sessions for the Illume and Griefworks Apps.
Sessions will take place in a secret city sanctuary, Bristol Green House Studio, in Ashley Down. See address or click on map below.
The cost is £10/session.
The introductory session will be on Thursday 4th September 2025 at 6pm until 7.
The programme itself will begin on Thursday 11th September 2025 at 6pm until 7 for an initial eight weeks.
